Bron's 60th birthday hop with FANCY FOLDS!!

Hello and Welcome to another AWESOME blog hop to celebrate Bron's 60th birthday!!  I hope you've enjoyed all the amazingness every month from everyone!!

Bron is actually a cardmaking genius when it comes to Fancy Folds!!  You really need to look at her amazing creative projects on her blog - you'll be stupendously inspired!!
This month, she has chosen the theme of Fancy Folds on her amazing Birthday Journey.

I recently found a fun variation on an easel fold which is quite simple but looks really cool!!  You start with half of a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock cut length ways, and then it's scored at 14.5, 19.5 and 24.5cm.  The front of the easel is a square of 7.5 x 7.5cm which fits perfectly after you trim the corners at the front of the card.

To embellish this fun fold, I've used the gorgeous Texture Chic designer paper at the front and back of the base of the card.  Inside the card and on the front I've used white.  My feature on the easel is actually a tag created using the Very Best Trio Punch for the corners.  This Cottage Rose flower was actually sitting on my craft table after being discarded from another project and it worked perfectly!!  I've coloured it using watercolour pencils and added some die cut old olive leaves behind.

The stamp sets I've used are Cottage Rose and Ranunculus Romance with Sahara Sand, Early Espresso, Old Olive and some Poppy Parade used with a blending brush.

Isn't the gorgeous Natural Ribbon totally delicious on the top of my tag!!  I love the opulence and luxury this ribbon adds to any project!!

Up next on our amazing hop this month is the talented Nikki - her work is always gorgeous.  Make sure you keep hopping to see all the fantastic projects!!

  5. I love the colours you've chosen and the way you've so successfully combined elements from different suites. But it's that pretty little fold that's such a winner to me. So much so, that I'm tucking it away as something to try out soon. Thank you for showing it off to prettily. :-)
