Bron's 60th birthday Hop - INKY BLUES

Hello and Welcome to blog hop to celebrate the amazing Bron!!  She's sharing her 60th birthday celebrations with all of us each month leading up to her birthday - and I'm so excited to be part of the fun!

This month, the theme is Inky Blues - and we certainly have plenty of blues to use from the amazing Stampin' Up! palette!!

My mind instantly went to water with the blue theme, so I've used the Seas the Day Bundle of the Sea Dies and the Seas the Day stamp set combined with Balmy Blue, Tahitian Tide, Pacific Point and Night of Navy.

This is one of my favourite folds - a double z fold.  I've used Balmy Blue for my card base, and then sponged it using Tahitian Tide and a blending Brush.  I also used a torn strip of cardstock to create a deeper sponged tone of Tahitian Tide at the bottom of the card for the 'bottom of the ocean'.

The top z of my card is Pacific Point die cut with the top of the Sea dies for the bubbly effect.  I've also used some of the Lovely Layers Vellum die cut for the left bottom front of the card and on the right bottom panel of the card.  It's a bit hard to see as the vellum blends in with the background stamping!

I've stamped all the sea creatures from the stamp set on the card and also die cut the images and attached them with window sheet strips so they are suspended from the top panel of the z fold.

The back of the card is sponged and stamped similarly, but also left relatively blank for the greeting on the card!  I really love doing monochrome projects, and loved making this fun card!!

UP next on our amazing hop is the super talented Chantell.  Make sure you keep hopping to see all the amazing projects!!
