Sketch challenge CTC#338

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we have a sketch challenge for you based on this fun card on page 34.

My card features the Happy Holly-Days bundle and a Wonderful Snowflake.

I've changed the colours to Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana with Basic White and a tiny touch of Red Foil for the berries.  I've also used the snowflake for the circular element and the gorgeous glittery organdy ribbon detail and opal rounds for extra sparkle!

It was very fiddly, but I punched the berries using our Red Foil and the Holly Border punch and then glued them back into the punched spaces on my card - I'm not usually into the intricacies of paper piecing but it does look pretty special with the little red highlights!

I've heat embossed my greeting in white embossing powder on the front of the card replicating the white details from the original example, but then stamped with Coastal Cabana for the inside.

The finishing touch for the inside was some of the left over punched leaves from the front punched detail!

Up next is the amazing Michelle and her cute cute puppy card!!  You'll love it!

Please join in the fun with us by adding your project to the lineup on our Facebook challenge page here!

  1. My goodness, you must have lots of patience and very good eyes! The Foil berries look amazing and are well worth the effort. Great colour combo!

  2. Love the snowflake for the circle element and that ribbon is perfect behind it as it gives the sparkle without taking away from the snowflake. The holly die cut with berries looks great.

  5. Super card Julia! The red works so well to pop against your colour scheme. The doily is a great addition and gives a softer finish.

  6. I love how you have used the border punch across the top and the snowflake as the focus point. So lovely!
