Inspiration from Gingerbread CTC#334

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday night Challenge and Blog CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week we are CASEING from the super cute Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite on pages 8 to 15 of our Mini Catalogue.

I really love the Gingerbread & Peppermint cards and envelopes and this is one of my fun projects!!  I was inspired by the lovely green card at the top right of page 8 of the catalogue.

I've embossed the background using the Adorning Designs Decorative Masks and our shimmery embossing paste.  Instead of the vellum banner, I've substituted one of the lovely Wonderful Snowflakes.  I've replicated the same cluster of 3 trees using the fun Pine Tree punch from Gold Foil, Basic White and Kraft cardstock.  All of them were embossed using the Evergreen Forest folder to give them some more detail.    The greeting was stamped from the lovely Happy Holly-Days stamp set and punched from the Lovely Labels punch with a bit of the gorgeous gold ribbon underneath!!

Inside the card I've used the Adorning Design mask with Cinnamon Cider and a blending brush.  I just love the simplicity of these cards and envelopes and have found such fun creating lots of different ideas!

UP next is the fabulous Sandra.

You are invited to join in the fun of our challenge too!  Add your project our line up on our Facebook page here.

  1. Those colours are unusual but I really like how they look. Great layering of interesting pieces too Julia, with just the right amount of sparkle.
