Paper strips inspiration CTC#327

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (CATTY).

And THIS week, we are celebrating our anniversary!!  Way to go everyone - this is a marvellous milestone!!

This week, we are CASEING from our Holiday Chapter of our Annual Catalogue - having a little Christmas in July inspiration!!  My inspiration comes from the cute stocking card on the bottom left because THIS month is all about our Designer Series Paper and this layout is just BRILLIANT for a celebration of paper!!

I have created 4 identical cards all featuring 4 different papers that are ALL on special this month!! Woohoo!!  My first card features the lovely Beauty of Friendship bundle and coordinating Beauty of the Earth paper.

All the cards have repeated the strips of paper on the inside of the card along with a little fussy cut extra detail.

My second card features the Pansy Petals paper along only.  I fussy cut an image from paper for the front detail.

The stamping on all the cards features a sweet 'Thankyou' from the Seascape stamp set, and the inside greeting comes from the Colour and Contour stamp set.

This card features the gorgeous Bloom Where You're Planted paper - and again, the detail images are fussy cute from the paper for the inside and front.

All of the cards have a small tag from the Tailor Made Tags dies to ground the image on the front and to emulate the Christmas Stocking from the inspiration photo.

This Hand-Penned paper card features some of the die cut flowers and leaves from the Penned Flowers dies.

This is a fabulous way to use scraps of paper left over from other projects.  It was super easy - I cut all of the strips to the same width I needed on the card and then added them - some are overlapped if I thought the strip was too wide for the pattern.

Which one is your favourite?  The colours were all so gorgeous and amazing I really can't decide, but I do have to say that I really love the Bloom Where You're Planted paper - I think it might be my absolute favourite!!

UP next is the talented Peta and her rich and luxurious wreathe card!!

You are invited to join the fun with us too!!  Add your photo to the lineup on our Facebook challenge page here.

Check out these papers AND all the others that are on special this month!!  You'll love them ALL!

  1. Wow! They all look so different using the different DSP packs. I totally missed this card when looking at this section of the catalogue. Great job.

  4. Fabulous way to promote the DSP sale but what a great way to use our scraps as well! Hard to pick a favourite but maybe the Hand Penned as the colours are so soft followed closely by the pansies:)
