Bring the Bling - what a great title!! CTC#306

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night challenge and blog hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues.

This week, we are celebrating Bling!!  What a brilliant idea for a CASE!!  The challenge is to CASE a glitter or sparkly project.

I've been inspired by the gorgeous layout on our header for this challenge featuring the stunning Fine Art Floral Suite.  The beautiful Fine Art Floral designer paper features marvellous hand painted images with glorious brush strokes and pretty pretty colours.  It ALSO has some coordinating Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate which has a sheet that fits perfectly over one of the designs.  This adds a perfect Bling for our challenge!!

Taking my first step from the "just thinking of you" card in the very centre of page 32 of the Mini Catalogue, I've removed the film from the back of the Acetate (the silver side) and then adhered it over the whole sheet of the coordinating Fine Art Floral paper.  I then cut it up to fit onto 6 standard size cards.  The front panels of the combined paper and acetate are 4" x 5" which leaves a strip of the paper to put on the inside of the card.

To embellish my cards (not they needed much because this paper and acetate is GORGEOUS) I've  featured one of the stamped images from the Art Gallery stamp set using Flirty Flamingo Ink for the base layer and then Poppy Parade Ink for the top two step image.  Then I've used the Floral Art dies to cut out the flowers, and two labels from the same set - one for the greeting, and one for a strip of gold foil.  You can actually purchase this stamp set and coordinating dies in a bundle and receive a 10% discount!!

I've also added some extra bling with the lovely Fine Art ribbon and some Metallic pearls scattered over the front of the card.  All of these cards are actually really simple, with the paper and acetate doing all the hard work AND looking wonderful!!

Up next is the talented Michelle and her sweet kangaroo!!

We would love you to join in the challenge with us too!!  Find your favourite sparkles in the catalogue, CASE it, photograph it, and add it to our Facebook challenge page.  Easy peasy!

Do you know you could purchase this glorious Fine Art Floral Suite and earn a FREE sale-a-bration reward - BUT only for 1 MORE WEEK.  Sale-a-bration ENDS NEXT SUNDAY 28th February!

There is also ONLY one more week also to enjoy a BRILLIANT joining opportunity to be part of my team!  Read all about it here!! (and if you join this week, you will receive $100 of gorgeous papers AS WELL AS the usual benefits!!  Ask me more!)

  1. The acetate looks great on top of the DSP. A great way to showcase the DSP and what a great way to get 6 cards made reasonably quickly from the one sheet(ok two if you count the DSP and acetate layer).

  2. Lovely set Julia! These must look even better in real life. I didn't realise the acetate had a film over it! Maybe I need to take a closer look and cut it!!
