Saleabration caseing CTC#301

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit , and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty).

This week, we are CASEING from our Sale-a-bration Catalogue.

I've been inspired by the lovely watery, painty technique on page 8 of the Sale-a-bration Catalogue which features the fun Corner Bouquet stamp set.  After I'd made my card, I flicked it with some Champagne Shimmer Mist and a Water Painter - can you see my newly decorated catalogue in the background?  My ability to make splatters go EVERYWHERE (except where I want them!!) means that I really should look at what's on my desk before I start splattering!!  Lol!!

To create the watery image I inked up the stamp partly with some Pear Pizzazz ink, and then used a Bumblebee and Rococo Rose Stampin' Write Maker to add extra colour.  Then I spritzed the whole image using the Stampin' Mist to create the watery look just before stamping.  I've also used Shimmery White Cardstock which tolerates more moisture than other cardstock.

When you do this technique - every card has it's own unique look which I love as I think it looks so artistic!!  The greeting on the front was stamped with another Sale-a-bration stamp set - Heal Your Heart - just loove that font!!

Inside the card features some 2nd and 3rd generation stamping with the small stamps from the Corner Bouquet stamp set and Pear Pizzazz with Rococo Rose inks.  The greeting comes from another Sale-a-bration stamp set - the fabulous hostess set Punch Party!!  There are so many great stamps that coordinate with a bunch of our great punches!! This time, the greeting coordinates with the new Double Oval Punch featured in our new Mini Catalogue.  Love it!!

My final touch was a little folded Fine Art Ribbon which is super soft on the top right of the front of the card and then the splattery effects of the Champagne Shimmer Mist and a Water Painter!!

Up next is the wonderful Michelle and her cool newspaper project from the Sale-a-bration catalogue!!

We'd love you to join in the challenge with us too and you don't need a blog to do it!!  Just upload your photo to our Facebook challenge page here!!

  1. What great thank you cards Julia. Pleased I'm not one in spreading splatters. Love doing multi colour stamp colours and spritzing, no two the same :)
