Whales are animals too!! CTC#276

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Selectively Edit or to Copy And Share Everything and we love to CASE from our amazing Stampin' Up! catalogues (Catty).

This week, we are CASING the animals in our new Catalogue. and I definitely knew I'd be featuring the wonderful Whale of a Time suite for this one!!

Annual Catalogue 2020-2021 page 94  all images © Stampin' Up! ®

I was inspired by the lovely card on the right above, that features a great technique of colouring onto an embossing folder.

Before embossing my Just Jade cardstock I inked up the textured side of the Seabed embossing folder with Whisper White Craft ink, and then ran it through my Cut & Emboss machine - this gives a lovely two toned textured background that works just beautifully for my central panel card.

The inside of the card features a small punched piece of Pool Party for your writing panel.

And the front of the card has images and a greeting from the wonderful Whale Done stamp set.  I just loooove the gorgeous shimmery pool party ribbon that comes with this suite!!!

Up next on our animal hop is the wonderful Michele and her totally adorable Hippo project!!!

We love it when you join in the fun with our challenge too - and what could be more gorgeous than using the animals in our current catalogue as inspiration!!  Add your project to our facebook challenge page here!!

  1. Great minds think alike, Julia! Isn't Seabed a fabulous embossing folder and I love how it looks inked up. That is a neat fold as well; does it have a name?

  2. I love how you have made the embossing folder the feature of your card. It looks amazing with the white craft ink on it. I must admit I had missed seeing this embossing folder in the catalogue. Lovely card.
