CASEING the flowers for CTC272

Hello and Welcome to another fabulous blog hop and challenge CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or to Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from the amazing array featured in our Stampin' Up! catalogues.  If you have just arrived from the very talented Rebecca then you are very welcome.  Make sure you keep hopping all the way around!

This week, we are CASING the Flowers of our New Catalogues.  Easy peasy right?  Well, when you flick through the catalogue it is CHOCK FULL of flowers!!!

Annual Catalogue 2020-2021 page 48 all images © Stampin' Up! ®

Finally I focused on these beauties on page 48 of the catalogue.  I've used the colours, layout and techniques as my starting point for creating.  These cards all feature in my class next week where we will explore colouring using Blends, Watercolour Pencils and Inks

This card is coloured using Stampin' Blends and features Merry Merlot, Petal Pink and Soft Suede for the stamping. It is a reverse easel card.

This fun gatefold card features colouring with Watercolour Pencils and uses Rich Razzleberry, Bermuda Bay and Bumblebee cardstock

And my final card is coloured using a Water Painter and inks on Shimmery White cardstock.

All of the cards are using the Jar of Flowers stamp set combined with the Many Mates stamp set for all of the greetings.  I hope you can see where the inspiration comes from, and that you'll get creative using the flowers of our catalogue as your starting point!!

Up next on our fabulous hop is the amazing Peta and her flowery inspiration.

When you have finished the hop, get creating for your flowery contribution to our challenge on our Facebook challenge page here!!

  1. You've come up with a rather magical mix of colours for these cards, a really lovely selection. Love the watercolour background too.

  2. I love how different all of these are and all the techniques they show off. They would make a great class trio. My favourite is the last one - so painterly, you've coloured it beautifully. I love the background stamping on the card base as well.

  3. Great way to show off different colouring techniques. Love how you’ve layered the stitched rectangles in different colours on the second card too. Great colour combos too

  4. Three fabulous cards Julia, I love that you have used a different colouring method for each card. I love the last card, the flowers really pop against the background.
