Ways with DSP CTC#221 Needlepoint Nook

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop and Challenge CASEIng the CATTY!!

Our challenges are inspired by the Stampin' Up! catalogues as we CASE - Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit projects illustrated over every awesome page.

This week we are CASEing from the Needlepoint Nook chapter of the Occasions Catalogue.

I just couldn't go past the landing page for this chapter - and quite a few of our team have found inspiration here too!!  My inspiration has been the many fabulous ways to use DSP illustrated with the Needlepoint Nook Suite.

Each of my projects features the Painted Seasons bundle from the second release Sale-a-bration pamphlet.  I loooooooove this DSP!  So I wanted to use EVERY piece - hence I've CASED all five cards from the illustration.

I've kept all the cards very simple and used white as my foil for all these gorgeous colours and patterns.

I've also kept most of the cards WITHOUT a greeting - sometimes when I reach in my box of tricks I can't find what I want soooo, some cards featuring images only helps solve that little problem!!

I love the freshness of the white and this DSP with the images only on the front.  The extras are some of the Butterfly Gala sequins, Needlepoint Nook mini buttons and some white bakers twine.

I've also used the Subtle embossing folder, a Stitched Shapes circle framelit, and some dotty ribbon.

I hope you're inspired to check out this chapter of the catalogue too!!  Make sure you hop around everyone to see all the awesomeness to inspire you!!!

You are invited to join our challenge too!!  Head to the Occasions Catalogue and check out the projects featured in the Needlepoint Nook chapter again, and add your project to the lineup on our facebook challenge page!!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

  1. Amazing cards Julia! I love that dsp too, and have just begun a set of cards. Lots of inspiration in your selection too. The card with mushroom paper is particularly striking.

  3. Oh I love these, Julia! That DSP is just gorgeous and you've shown it off perfectly. It's so nice to see more than one pattern used on a card like you have with a couple here.I also love the way you've cased the photo from the catty :)

  5. Wow Julia, your cards are beautiful. Same, same but different DSP, gives them a totally different look. Good idea of leaving off the sentiments too.
