Something Fun and Bright for Colour INKspiration #46

Hello and Welcome to a beautiful bunch of colours for our Colour INKspiration Blog Hop and Challenge!!
Image may contain: flower

Do you love our inspiration picture this time?  What a stunning bunch of flowers!!
We are challenging you to use all of these colours together in 1 project!!  They are:  Blueberry Bushel, Balmy Blue, Lovely Lipstick, Gorgeous Grape and Granny Apple Green.

I've used these colours to help me create a bunch of gifts for my workmates.  I've used a lovely stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalogue called Country Home.
Country Home Photopolymer Stamp Set
It will no longer be available once the catalogue finishes on 2nd January, so I'm making the most of it when I can!!  I love the spirit of gratitude in this stamp set, and I think these greetings work so well as a great reminder every day of the year - so a calendar Easel Card was born!

Heather taught this as one of our projects on our team day and I loved the idea so much I've made extras!!  The anchor for the easel features a pack of sticky notes - Heather's project had a little box for these, but I've just made a cover for the top so that it all blends in to the colours for this challenge!  (I could only find yellow sticky notes!!!)

The top folds down to expose the bottom half of the base of the easel allowing the pretty flowers to show up even when the 'card' is closed.  All the images were watercoloured with an aqua painter and the challenge inks.

Now it's time for you to hope over and see Rose's amazing project - I'm not usually into bright colours, but I've just LOVED seeing all the team projects in these colours - so so so beautiful!!

We'd love you to join in the fun with us too!!  Use all of these colours in your project and then add it to the lineup on our facebook challenge page!!  Too easy.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

Christmas Twist on a Birthday Card!! CTC#205

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop CASEING the CATTY.

To CASE is to Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit, and we love to CASE from the amazing projects in the Stampin' Up! catalogues and then challenge you to do the same!!

Image may contain: text

This week, we have a really fun challenge!!  We have to CASE a Birthday Card and give it a Christmas Twist - what an awesome idea!  CASEING is all about having a starting place to inspire creativity, and there is so much flexibility and opportunity for interpretation!!

My card features the beautiful Joyous Noel DSP paired with our November Special Bundle of Snowflake Showcase!!

I've CASED the top right card from page 68.  It uses a bunch of DSP from the Broadway Bounds Suite paired with the fun Broadway Birthday stamp set.  These bright colours and bold sentiments DO NOT appeal to me in any way (yes I know, I'm a bit different!!), but the layouts for all of these projects are just perfect!!  And so versatile!!

My layout is identical - I've swapped in the Christmas tree and decorations instead of the balloons over the sentiment, but everything else is pretty much the same!!  The colours featured in the DSP are the starting point for my stamping - and they are:  Tranquil Tide, Gray Granite, Whisper White and Copper.  These are gorgeous colours together!!

Now it's time for you to keep hopping around our amazing design team so be inspired anew with the versatility of CASEING our Catalogues!!

We'd so love for you to join in the challenge with us too!!  Once you've finished your creation, just add it to the lineup on our facebook challenge page!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia  x

Big shot Projects in CTC#204

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night blog hop CASEing the CATTY.  We had a week off last Sunday because of the awesome Stampin' Up! Onstage training event.  It was a brilliant event, and I've been inspired with many great ideas and new products!!  I've also just finished a huge week of our daughter's last week of Year 12!!  I'm feeling like this has been a really momentous week.

So it's good to get back to the weekly blog posting!  And our CASEING the CATTY crew is all about making creating easier by using the Stampin' UP! catalogues as inspiration for projects!!  We are all about showing you about CASEING - which stands for Copy And Selectively Edit or Copy And Share Everything.

No automatic alt text available.

This week the challenge is to CASE a Big Shot Project from our Holiday Catalogue.  So after you've hopped through the crew, grab your catalogue and look at it with new eyes and see all the projects which use dies or folders and the Big Shot.

I've gone for a simple card right at the top of the cover of the catalogue - after last week's intensity, I really needed something easy!!

My card is a direct CASE - I've only changed the colours!!  My feature panel of DSP comes from Joyous Noel DSP and the colours are the coordinating Merry Merlot, Tranquil Tide, Copper and Sahara Sand.  For the Big Shot part of the card I've used the Merry Christmas thinlit dies and the Stitched Shapes framelit dies.

The greetings inside and on the front come from the lovely Merry Christmas to All.

This is beautiful DSP and the colours are so elegant and refined with their deep tones.

Make sure you keep hopping around the whole crew and see again all the amazing projects from the Holiday catalogue which use the Big Shot.  Up next is Sandra and her totally gorgeous Santa card!!!

You are always invited to join in the challenge with us too - so please add your projects to our lineup on our facebook challenge page!!

Colour INKspiration #45 InColours

Hello and Welcome to Colour INKspiration Challenges!!  Twice a month we inspire you to be creative with some amazing colours!

No automatic alt text available.

This time we are challenging you to use any of the 2017-2018 InColours which are:  Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, and Tranquil Tide.  You may use any number of these colours to enter the challenge!!

I have chosen to use Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide together.  When I was first introduced to Lemon Lime Twist, I was not a fan, but getting to know this amazing colour has been awesome!!

I've created two cards using the same technique of emboss resist. The image is heat embossed using white embossing powder, and then ink is sponged over the top to create the resist image.  My first card features Dandelion Wishes.

My Second card features the lovely Wishing you Well and I've chosen to emboss the greeting in the middle of the wreath.

This is a distINKtive stamp set, and so the image has many different tones with one stamp - I love this effect!!!

Which one is your favourite?  I love how I've been able to create a Christmas card and also a Birthday card using the same colours and basic design!!

Up next on our awesome hop is our guest designer for this challenge!!  Welcome to Leonie!!

And we would really love you to join in the fun with us and add your creation featuring any combination of these 5 colours to our lineup on our facebook challenge page.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x
