Pretty Pretty Colour INKspiration #38

Hello and Welcome to our fantastic Colour INKspiration blog hop #38.
No automatic alt text available.

I think I love the combination every time!!  This week, the colours are:
Powder Pink, Gray Granite, Berry Burst, Whisper White and Basic Black.

Doesn't the photo look delicious!  I remember a stamp set from a couple of years back that featured some marshmallows and coffee cups - this would be just perfect!!

My project however, does not have a marshmallow in sight!  (and I don't actually own that set so, I had to be inventive with the colours!!)  In the Stampin' Up! world though, there is always something that will work with the colours.

I've decided to have another play with my recently acquired bundle - Floral Frames.  There is a super fantastic youtube link featuring these framelits and our new embossing mats which shows the amazing versatility and texture from these framelits.

My creative journey started at the central greeting and the layering of all the elements and colours.  I used the clear wink of stella to drag the Berry Burst colour for the flowers.  The centres of the flowers feature the metallic pearls.  Choosing my card base was tricky, sooooooo, I ended up making 2 cards to see which was my favourite - the Basket Weave embossing folder, or the Tufted.  What's your fav?

Would you like to join in the fun too?  Create your project using these colours only, and add it to the lineup at our facebook challenge page - and be inspired by the amazingness of everyone in the group!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

  3. I still can't believe how 'freakingly' close I came to making a very similar card except for your gorgeous idea of the embossed backgrounds. Your cards are so beautiful, Julia. I'm looking forward to inking up this set.
