Healing Hugs for CTC#189

Hello and Welcome to our Sunday Night Blog Hop Caseing the Catty.

Our Challenge hop is all about the Stampin' Up! catalogues and CASEing them - Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit.  After you've cruised through all the amazingness from the design team, you can add your project to our facebook challenge page.

No automatic alt text available.

This weekend, we're into the Love, Thanks and Support chapter of the Annual Catalogue
 - pages 104 - 125.

I have been inspired by the gorgeous stamp set Healing Hugs, and in particular the lovely tin on page 110.  Just beside the photo is a great 'teaching' panel about the Distinktive stamps featuring the fantastic technique of layering ink on the stamp with a Sponge Dauber.

My rose images were first stamped in Crushed Curry, and then I used 2 sponge daubers to create highlights - one with Pumpkin Pie, and one with Mango Melody (which is the same colours as the background cardstock).  Can you see the different colours in the rose?

I love how these Distinktive stamps really give lovely tonal variation on the one stamped image, but the extra colours gives the picture an awesome new WOW!!

I made this card for someone dear who's needing a few extra Get Well thoughts!  It's amazing how many times this stamp set is so useful!  Add to it's usefulness the beautiful images, and this is a stamp set I'm so glad to have in my collection.  I think you would love it too!!

When you've done the hop, add your project to the lineup here on our facebook challenge page - it's super easy to add your photo - and remember to use pages  104-125 for your inspiration!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x
