Hold on to Hope for Colour INKspiration #30

Hello and Welcome to another awesome post for Colour Inkspiration.

Image may contain: sky, outdoor, food, water and nature

For our 30th challenge the colours are:
Soft Sky, Cherry Cobbler, Fresh Fig, Island Indigo and Pumpkin Pie

For this challenge I've pulled out the lovely Hold on to Hope stamp set - it hasn't seen much action so far at my craft table, but it is a really lovely set, and the coordinating Cross of Hope dies are just gorgeous.

This card features some colouring on the branches using the Stampin' Write Markers - this is such an easy way to have a multi coloured image!

I really enjoyed using these great greetings for my card - both inside and outside.

Keep hopping around all of the design team - these colours really inspired some amazing creativity from everyone this time!

Next up is the lovely Rachel and her super sweet bicycle.

Please join in the fun by adding your project to the fantastic lineup on our facebook challenge page.

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

Thinking of You SUO Challenges #197

Hello and Welcome to another fabulous post for SUO Challenges - using Stampin' Up! only products in our projects.

Make sure you head to our blog page to see the beautiful projects from the whole design team!!  Our theme this time is Thinking of You or Thank You.

As this is the VERY LAST WEEK of Sale-a-bration 2018, I've decided to use the deliciously beautiful Heartfelt Blooms for my project!

I've stamped the blooms using Sweet Sugarplum ink onto 2 pieces of cardstock simultaneously.  I'm not sure of the correct technique term (or if this is the correct way to do it actually!!!), but I lay my smaller piece of cardstock in the centre of the large piece and then stamped my image randomly over both pieces at once.  When you lift the smaller piece off the top of the large piece of white, there is a gap of stamping in the middle which is then hidden by the mat for the top pieces.
Is this making sense to you?

At the end you have the image lining up perfectly with the piece at the bottom and a very beautifully decorated card.  The greeting was stamped using Fresh Fig - as is the little bow tied around the middle.  I'm teaching this technique at my classes at the moment.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

Last week of Saleabration CTC#171

Hello and Welcome to another super Sunday Blog Hop and Challenge CASEING the CATTY.

We love to Copy And Share Everything or Copy And Selectively Edit using the great projects in our Stampin' Up! catalogues as inspiration.

No automatic alt text available.

This week is the VERY LAST WEEK OF Sale-a-bration 2018 so we are CASEING from any of the Sale-a-bration publications for you in our grand hurrah for this year!

I have CASED 2 projects this week (just because I felt like it ..... and these were some of the cards for our classes this week!  Multi-tasking!)  My first CASE comes from page 8 of the Sale-a-bration catalogue and features the Lots of Lavender stamp set.

I've cased the card on the right hand side, however, I couldn't leave the lavender plain, so I've used the 2 step stamps to add colour to the image. The greeting comes from the Amazing You stamp set, and the DSP in the background is the lovely Springtime Foils.

My second CASE uses the lovely Sale-a-bration DSP Bubbles and Fizz.

This card is a CASE of the peacock card from the front of the Sale-a-bration catalogue.

I've added in some Washi tape from the Sweet Soiree embellishment kit instead of the stitching around the DSP.

Instead of the sequin trim under the feature image, I've used some Crushed Curry bakers twine.

I'm still a bit unsure about this card, but it would be very cool for a child I think.

Now it's time for you to hop over and see Peta's cute Bird Banter card.  Make sure you keep hopping all the way around - there are some fabulous projects for our last blog hop for Sale-a-bration!!

Please add your projects to our fun facebook challenge page and join in the fun with us!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,

Rose tags with Perennial Birthday and Springtime Foils

These super sweet tags were made a group of 80+ year old ladies at my local nursing home.  Aren't they gorgeous!!

I volunteer with these sweet ladies once a month, and we have the privilege of making lots of lovely projects for them to give to others.

These tags are going a a gift that will be given to residents on Mothers Day.  Not all the female residents are mothers, and so we chose the greeting carefully without any Happy Mothers Day in sight anywhere!!

I love what I do, and I love to share what I do with cardmaking and papercraft.  Over the last couple of years, these sweet little old ladies have really learnt so much and have so many new skills!
 It's just so rewarding!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x
