You'll love these colours!!! Colour INKspiration #18

Hello and Welcome to another fabulous challenge for Colour INKspiration!!
We are a design team who love to challenge you to create using a colour palette inspired by some glorious images features on Pinterest.  Challenge #18 uses these awesome colours - Powder Pink, Basic Gray, Sahara Sand and Sweet Sugarplum

Image may contain: people sitting, plant, motorcycle, flower and outdoor

And isn't this lovely picture gorgeous!! The inspiration for my card comes from the brick wall and all those gorgeous climbing roses!!
I've used the wonderful Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set and the coordinating Happy Birthday thinlit.  The vine and all the roses were created using some of the great stamps in this set - there are 32 photopolymer stamps in this set!!  All of the roses were stamped in Powder Pink for the base layer, and then Sweet Sugarplum for the line image over the top.  They have been punched with 1/2" and 3/4" circle punches (as I was too lazy to fussy cut the flowers!!)
To create the rustic wall, I rubbed my Basic Grey ink over my Brickwall embossing folder before adding the Sahara Sand cardstock into the folder and embossing with the Big Shot.  That gave me the grout lines and a few smears of rustic colour over the bricks.
And lastly, I die cut the Happy Birthday in both Sweet Sugar Plum and Basic Gray to give the lovely shadow effect.

I think the card is very pretty!!  It is 6" square which makes it rather large, but it is a very special card, and the colours are divine!!
Originally I wanted to add a little green (because we can add a green of choice if we wish, and I do love green a lot!!), but in the end, these colours worked just fine!!

Now it's time for you to keep hopping along and see all the AMAZING work of the design team - EVERY time we share our ideas as a team, I am blown away by the awesomeness of these amazing artists on our team.  It is such a privilege to be part of the Colour INKspiration crew!!

And we really love to see your creations, so please, join in the fun and post your photo on our facebook challenge page!!

Until Next Time,
Happy Stamping,
Love Julia   x

  6. Such a beautiful card, Julia. I love your climbing roses....really sweet against the brick wall. I've tried the technique you used on your EF but mine never quite works out the way I want (perhaps I'm too much of a clean line perfectionist). x
