I've once again been inspired by the projects on the front of the Catalogue - in particular the lovely card featuring Flowering Fields and the white embossing with colouring.

My card is somewhat different, but I'm sure you can see the inspiration!!  I was feeling too lazy to get out the heat tool and do some white heat embossing, soooooo, I decided to stamp on the Botanical Gardens Designer Vellum with white stazon ink on the front, with the view of colouring from the reverse side.........  After I'd done the white stamping, which I totally loved when it was done, I then decided to stamp the lovely leafy image on the reverse to give the image more of a garden look.
And like a domino effect, this then changed my ideas for colouring!!
So, I coloured with the Incolour markers on the front of my vellum, AND the white stazon ink resisted the colour, and the result it very similar to the white heat embossed effect!!
Cool hey!!

It's a bit tricky to photograph the white effects on the card, but I really love how this has turned out!!!
I hope you're inspired too!!!

  8. Really great stamp set to use for this card case. I would never have thought to stamp on the vellum with the white stazon, but I really liked the effect when the images were coloured in. Thanks for the inspiration, Julia.

  9. Julia, what a great idea to stamp on one side of the vellum in the white and then put the colour on the other side. The addition of the washi tape, gold and lace accent the card perfectly. What a great design.
