Wildflower Fields DSP for CASEING the CATTY #64

Welcome to our Sunday Night Caseing the CAtty Blog Hop - this week we are CASEING the Sale-a-bration Catalogue.  Be sure to use the navigation buttons at the bottom of the post to hop all the way along through the design team and enjoy all of the amazing ideas and inspiration we have to share with you.  And feel free to make your own creation and join in the fun too!!

This week I've chosen to be inspired by the lovely Wildflower Fields DSP (which you can earn for FREE when you spend $90)

And this is my inspiration project..... pretty similar don't you think!!

I've used the Hello Sale-a-bration stamp set (available for a limited time only - until 15 February!!) for my greeting, and as I didn't have the lovely paper clips, I've stamped and fussy cut one of the lovely flowers from the Flowering Fields stamp set which coordinates perfectly with this lovely DSP.

And my final embellishment is a little knot of Pear Pizzazz cotton ribbon at the base of the flower.

I hope you've been inspired!!

Now it's time for the hopping - either forwards or reverse!

And if you need to start the hop all over again, just jump onto our CASEING the CATTY blogsite and see the complete list of all the design team.

What I Love

How's this for pretty?  This yummy paper is some of the Love Blossoms DSP stack and it is all so so pretty!!

I wanted the paper to be the star of the show, so I've just made a little shaker card with some cute lil Blushing Bride glimmer paper hearts punched with the Hearts Border Punch.  The greeting is from the lovely Sale-a-bration stamp set What I Love - so this could be a Valentines card, or a thank you card, or a hello card for a good friend.....  I love it!!

Going Global

As a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator, we receive some wonderful resources packed full of ideas and projects - and this wonderful card is one of the projects featured in our Stampin' Success magazine recently.  It features the wonderful paper from the Going Places DSP stack, and a wonderful earth stamp from Going Global.  The greeting on this card comes from Butterfly Basics

I love this card and the beautiful effect of the embossed earth image sponged with Lost Lagoon around the edges.

If you would love to receive some of these wonderful resources and great ideas from Stampin' Up! maybe you would like to think about joining my team!!

Now is an awesome time to join Stampin' Up! because for only $169 you can have $295 worth of products!!!  This is a fantastic special and available during Sale-a-bration which is right now!!  Contact me for more details by emailing me HERE or go to my going to my website HERE

Birthday Blooms for GDP

I'm totally loving watercolouring within an outline stamped with White Stazon Ink - the effect is just beautiful!!  This started because I was too lazy to do some white heat embossing, but now, I can't stop, all my cards have been done like this now!!

And so, I've used this technique for my CASE for the Global Design Project challenge this week.

I've used the glorious Birthday Bouquet DSP for my stripey background which is reminiscent of the stimulus project, and then added some sparkly Blushing Bride glimmer paper under the edges of my torn vellum.

Originally I wanted to put a greeting on the front, but I loved the image so much, I decided to pop the greeting inside and leave the front of the card very simple, but nonetheless pretty!!

Hello For the Paper Players

I've used this great sketch from the challenge at Paper Players to have a play with my new Sale-a-bration stamp set Hello, and the lovely Perfectly Artistic DSP from Sale-a-bration too!

Click on the image to check out all the lovely projects from the design team.

And I've used some of my favourite colours - Pool Party, Bemuda Bay, and a tiny touch of Tempting Turquoise with the marbled DSP.
And the result.... a very pretty card I think!!

Sky is the Limit for JAI challenge

This week on Just Add Ink, there is a sketch challenge - so I've opened my new Sale-a-bration stamp set Sky is the Limit and created two cards which vary only very slightly.

One has the Soft Sky background and the clouds watercoloured with Whisper White Ink,
and the other has a Very Vanilla background with some Soft Sky watercoloured for the sky.

And both cards have incorporated the sketch with vellum clouds punched using the Cup Cake Builder Punch.  They are very soft and placed in a diagonal version of the sketch.

So which is your favourite?

CTC63 - Grateful Bunch for It's My Party Section

Happy Sunday Night to you!!  Welcome to our Sunday night blog hop - celebrating the chapter of our new Occasions Catalogue called 'It's My Party'  - pages 3-7.

Be sure to hop along to all the amazing projects wont you!  You can continue on by clicking on the next button at the bottom of this post, or you can run around in a reverse direction by clicking on the previous button!!  Or you can head on over to our CASEING the CATTY blog and see all the links of the design team there too!!  Yon can ALSO join in the challenge yourself and share your creativity with us - you know we love to see your gorgeous creations!!

Now, this chapter is very short........So there are very few cards to select for CASEING - this works to YOUR advantage though, as you get to see some amazing inspiration from the same source!!!

The other thing about this chapter is that I HAVE NONE OF THE PRODUCTS IN THIS SUITE!!
And, most of the cards are quite bright, and I may have told you before I'm so NOT comfortable with the bright palette!!
But, as with all of Stampin' Up!'s amazing catalogues, I did find something to CASE.

I've chosen this card on the right, and I've CASED the design /layout almost identically.... along with the colours too (psst, there is only a teeny tiny bit of Melon Mambo, so it was all good!!)

I've used the Grateful Bunch bundle for my card, and you know what?  I really love the finished product!!!

The stamp set has some lovely images AND there's this wonderful coordinating punch for the flowers..... YAY!  That bit down the left hand side is the lovely lacey stamp, just the top half (I LOVE this lace stamped image!!)

So, even though I grumbled and moaned to myself about this chapter and the colours (sigh), the inspiration has been wonderful!!  I'm sure you can meet the challenge too!!

Now, I hope you keep travelling on your journey through our wonderful hop this week!!

And feel free to hop on back to our blog for a complete list of all the amazing projects!!!

Scrapbooking Marathon - Day 16

Scrapbooking Marathon - Day 15

This page in my marathon was quite difficult to do, as I am totally uncomfortable with bright colours - but the photos are fun and full of colour so.......

I used the inspiration of the Cherry on Top paper stack and washi tape, and then added the fun stamp set - Balloon Celebration.

What do you think?  How did I go?

Scrapbooking Marathon - Day 13

These Christmas colours of Real Red and Mint Macaron are so fresh and happy don't you think?

And I totally LOVE these wonderful words from Christmas Greetings Thinlits Dies.

And I had lots of fun with the stars framelits too!!

Love you Sew for Valentines

This is a Valentine for my Mum - the most wonderful seamstress and craftslady I know!!  She is an inspiration and so so clever!!  So, as soon as I saw this wonderful Stamp Set, Love you Sew, I knew I just had to have it..... to make something for my MUM!!

And there are two amazing challenges this week which are totally perfect for my card to enter!!!  Make sure you head on over to their challenge blogs to see the amazing work from the design team!!

I love all the bits and pieces of this stamp set, and there are some really clever and punny greetings too!!  I had fun stamping my coloured layers with all the stitching, and the beauty of all those little elements is that they are strategically placed to cover any bits that didn't quite match up!!

My colours are:  Mint Macaron, Rose Red and Crushed Curry - I borrowed the colours from the It's My Party Cardstock Pack (which are Crushed Curry, Melon Mambo and Mint Macaron) - I had the change the Mambo to Rose Red....... I am just not a bright pink person!!!!!
