CASEing the Catty Christmas Chapter

Hello again for our blog hop this week!!!  If you have come from Emma's lovely project, then you are very welcome, or you can begin here and hop your way through all of our fantastic inspiration sourced from the Christmas Chapter of the catalogue as we CASE for you!!  CASE means to Copy And Share Everything - the beauty of our crafting is that we are collaborative and enjoy helping each other!

This week we are in the Christmas Chapter - from page 67 - 72.  My project is inspired by the lovely card on page 70.  I've used a totally different stamp set, but the layout and colours are the same....

So what do you think?  I really love the blue/silver combination for Christmas, it's such an elegant combination.

My card uses Wondrous Wreath with Lost Lagoon and Island Indigo leaves, with silver details for the berries.  This silver bow comes from the Mini Treat Bag Framelits.

So now it's time to hop along to the lovely project from Rachel, and to be totally inspired!!

and if you get totally lost, just click here on the graphic to go to our blog for a full list of projects and contributors!!
CASEing the Catty

Block Stamping

My friend Robyn showed me this gorgeous technique - colouring the clear bock with markers, spraying with the spritzer filled with alcohol and sahara sand ink, and then stamping the image in the background.  You can do this easily to create all sorts of backgrounds, and use any number of images in the front.  Here is the tree from Thoughts and Prayers stamped with Black Stazon.

It's Fathers Day soon!!

So, how amazing is this - getting ready for Fathers Day a WHOLE MONTH EARLY!!  Really, I've just received my Guy Greetings Stamp set and I'm looking for excuses to play with my new toy!!

So I've made this project to satisfy  these two challenges AND to play with a new stamp set.
 Win Win right??

You would be totally inspired by all the great projects done by the design team members for both of these challenges and you do that easily by just clicking on each of the images to go to their blog!!
Check it out - you'll love what you see!

My background paper is from Bohemian DSP and Typeset DSP,  My colours are Delightful Dijon, Very Vanilla and Basic Black.  And there's a little bit of Everyday Chic washi tape in there too!!

Christmas in July

Well, this is a new style of Christmas Card for me!! I usually go for all the traditional elements, but I thought I'd have a go at a natural type of Christmas Card - although I just could NOT resist some bling!!  So what do you think?  Did I nail it?  I'm thinking I'm still a bit on the shelf about weather it's working or not!!

Crafty Boots Challenges

Crafty Boots are having a Christmas in July challenge - so go over to their blog and check out the awesome projects!!  This card is my little contribution to the huge pile of entries!! So if you want some inspiration - you need to hop around all the amazing projects in this challenge!!

The background stamping comes from Perpetual Birthday Calendar stamp set, and the greeting comes from Petite Pairs.  Lots of punching on this card - the tree, the little birdies from the Builder Tree Punch, Itty Bitty Star Punch, and the cute little golden wreath comes from the 1/2" circle cut out from the 7/8" scallop punch!!  All of the scattered stars comes from the stars border punch!!

The background Crumb Cake piece has been embossed with the stars folder, and actually I've embossed it the opposite way to what I'd intended BUT, I think it actually works better!!  Love it when a plan comes together like that!! teeheee

Cottage Greetings Sketch Challenge

What do you think of my entry for this sketch challenge?  This was my playtime with the lovely Colour Me Irresistible Specialty Designer Paper - on the lighter card I've brayered Mint Macaron, and on the other I used a sponge dauber and Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral and Watermelon Wonder.

If you click on the graphic you'll see some amazing projects created with this cool sketch, AND some amazing entries in the challenge!!

Those cute little flowers from Cottage Greetings are very tricky to fussy cut, but oh, the final effect looks awesome!!!
So which is your favourite?  I really really love the Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride as it's so pretty, but I do have to say that the Watermelon Wonder card is so exciting!!
(Can a card be exciting???)

Be sure to go to the website and check out the gorgeous projects!!!

I'm trying something different with this card!!  I'm not really a 'purple' person, so my personal challenge for this card was using Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant!!

and this card is also part of these two challenges!!  Just click on both of the graphics to go to the blogs and see some totally gorgeous projects.... and you will be inspired!!!

I've used one of my clear stamping blocks for the background panel (thank you Robyn for the great idea!)  When I sprayed with my spritzer I discovered I used one with some shimmer mist!!  And oh, isn't it pretty!!

Gift Packaging CASEing

This week we are taking a hop through the gift packaging chapter!!  Whether you start here or you have come from the lovely project made by Monique, you are very welcome, and we hope you have a wonderful time hopping through all the blogs.

My first project comes from the front page of the chapter - in the top left corner.  The only change is the paper - I've used the Cherry on Top paper stack for my little treat bag.

.

And my second project comes from the bottom of page 56 which is the decorated gift bag.  I've made it into a card and oriented it sideways.

Those little dots come from using a sponge dauber and the whisper white ink, as I don't have the Stamp a Bag stamp set.

My greeting comes from You're So Sweet - the coordinating stamp set to the Mini Treat Bag Thinlits. And look at those totally gorgeous little hearts punched from the corrugated card - aren't they gorgeous?  The Blushing Bride tag underneath the greeting is stamped with white using the I Think You're Great patterned stamp.  Cool hey!  The final gorgeous embellishment is the yummy Metal Rimmed Pearls - you will totally love these when you see them in real life!!

Now it's time for you to keep hopping along to the next blog and Elizabeth's gorgeous project!  Enjoy!!

And if you get totally lost, the complete list of blogs is on the Caseing the Catty Blog, so just click here on the graphic to check out all of the blog list!!
