Butterfly Basics Collage Stamping

I have CASED this gorgeous card from Alison Okamitsu who is on the world wide Stampin' Up! design team.  You can see her card, and a link to her blog at the bottom of this post - it's really lovely!

I changed the colours a bit, and my stencil is different but basically the card is exactly the same as Alison's, and she has some great instructions and a video on her blog.

Same card, different colour scheme - more like the original that I have CASED.

And here is Alison's card - isn't it gorgeous?

and click on her blog to see the great instructions she uses.

Happy For You

When I was thinking about making cards for teens, this was my first foray into design ideas - but I have to say I wasn't too thrilled with my efforts.

I really enjoyed using the Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit - probably because the colours were so much fun, and really happy!!

Hooray it's Your Day - wooden elements

After I finished making all the 20 cards from the amazing Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit, I couldn't throw out this outline of the 'hello' wooden elements  - and so, I've reused it on a card - doesn't it look fantastic!!

I put some silver foil behind the wood to show up the silhouette some more, and added a bit of ribbon, lace and candy dots - Love it!!

Last design for Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit

This gorgeous sunburst uses another lovely stencil from the Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit - some of the cards were sprayed with a spritzer and reinker, and some I have sponged.

I love the lovely little wooden stars which come in the kit - they are so fun and give the card an extra WOW factor.  (I'm thinking I might even colour a couple of these stars with a marker to give the card a bit extra vibrancy - maybe some of that Melon Mambo!!! tee hee)

File Card design for Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit

File Cards are very on trend in cardmaking at the moment, so this card kit has this awesome file card idea.  It also features some cool speech bubbles which gives it such a groovy and fun finish.

Some of my greetings for these cards come from the Sumthin' Sumthin' stamp set.

Thank You for Just Add Ink

This week the challenge at Just Add Ink is to Just Add Thank You, and with such an easy challenge and with so many possibilities, I dusted off my Indescribable Gift Stamp Set that I have not yet used, and decided to do some Blendabilities colouring, also with my new colours from our Occasions Catalogue.   And I'm pretty happy with the result!!

This is such a gorgeous image, and the thank you comes from the Lots of Thanks stamp set.

Make sure  you got to Just Add Ink, by clicking here to see lots of awesome thank you cards both from the design team and from all the other entries!!

Butterfly Basics and Butterflies Thinlits Dies by Stampin’ Up!

Love this stamp set and the framelits - we are using this at our class on Friday night!

Another design from Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit

Continuing my story about the great Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit (and CLICK HERE if you would like to see it in my online store), this is another of the designs of the cards - this time a matchbook closure.

I've used one of the lovely stencils to colour the front of the card - some have been sponged, and some have been sprayed with the spritzer which comes in the kit.

Again, I've used different stamp sets for my cards - these are all Sale-a-bration stamp sets - Big Day, and Best Day Ever.

I totally love these wooden elements which come in the kit - you will see lots of "hellos" on the cards in the next two days of design ideas.

And my last card uses Melon Mambo - pretty striking!  I'm not a very big pink fan, so I only made one card that uses Melon Mambo!!!

Cards for Teens

Now, even though I actually HAVE 4 children myself who are in and around this age group, I found this a VERY TRICKY challenge - but so much fun regardless!!

Because I was feeling creatively challenged, I chose to use the Hooray It's Your Day Card Kit - and I've made all 20 cards and had a great time!!!

This is my favourite because it's bright and right on trend with the colourful banner with different font sizes.  I think any teenager would love this card.

So, go one, give yourself a real challenge, and come up with a great card for a teen!!  Then post it onto our challenge blog and have fun!!

Hooray It's Your Day CardKit

I love card making kits - all the thinking about design and colour is done for me - and I get to learn new ideas and techniques as a bonus!!!

This is one of the card designs of this awesome Kit from the Occasions Catalogue - I didn't use it with the coordinating stamp set, but used stamps that I have on had - so there are lots of different greetings and ideas here.

The kit comes with instructions and all of the supplies required to make these gorgeous cards - I had to add inks, and stamps and adhesives - so this makes the kit totally flexible with the supplies you have on had!

There are four different designs in this kit and five cards for each design, so the end product is 20 gorgeous cards with coordinating envelopes.

This is a photo of ALL the cards I made using the kit - and I'll post each of the different design ideas over the next few days.

Painted Petals Love

The DSP that coordinates with the Painted Petals stamp set is just so gorgeous!!!

This is one of the cards we made recently at a ladies group - where we made lots of cards to give for birthdays throughout the year.  The greeting comes from Blooming with Kindness.

Apothecary Art and Blendabilities

Today was a colouring day - and oh! what fun!  I just bought the new Blendabilities in the new colours of Pink Pirouette, Soft Sky, Wild Wasabi and Wisteria Wonder. So, these are the colours for all of my cards.

I highlighted each of my coloured images using the skin tones Blendabilites to make them pop a bit more out of the card.

This stamp set corresponds with the labels framelits beautifully .

Kinda Eclectic

This is the card I made to use up some bits and pieces off my desk!!  I had been practicing with the Chalkboard Paper with the chalk inks - just to see what it's like - and so I made a card to use it as a feature.
