Celebrating the Memories

Scrapbooking is a fabulous way to read and remember the wonderful milestones of our lives.  I know my children just LOVE looking through the scrapbooks and remembering and chatting about the memories.

And Digital Scrapbooking is a really easy and portable way of journalling these memories.

Seashore Birthday

I have made this card for a friend to give to her cousin.  My brief was his age, and that he loved the beach and his home and work in the country, and he would be retiring soon.  I hope he likes the card, because I sure do!!  I love the colours and images, and I really enjoyed making this card.

I've used Dictionary, By the Tide, The Open Sea, By the Seashore, Hardwood, and the greeting comes from Label Love.

The colours I've chosen are Marina Mist, Baked Brown Sugar (a personal favourite colour) and Very Vanilla.

The inside of the card reflects the front, as does the envelope I made to go with it.  This card works for the awesome challenge at SUO Challenges - this week - It's Summertime
I am fortunate enough where I live in Queensland near the Eastern Seaboard, that really, this card would work all year round.

My Digital Studio

Nothing like a deadline to get me moving!!
I need to get a whole heap of Digital Scrapbooking done before we go on holidays in two days time!!!  So, in the next few posts, I will share with you some pages I've been doing in a mad rush!!
and
It's really quite quick and very easy to make some lovely pages!!  I've found it's a GREAT way to put lots of photos on a page - AND you can enlarge or shrink them however you like!!

Sit back and enjoy the next few days of MDS!!

Epic Day

I'm using up lots of Designer Series Paper before we have some new lovely paper to use - and this masculine card uses the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper.

The greeting comes from Oh Hello which is also retiring,

as is the Naturals buttons, and the daffodil delight stitched grosgrain ribbon.

Same Layout - Different Colours!

This is a great idea for you if you are struggling for ideas - use the same design and just add different colours!!!  This is the same basic layout as my card from yesterday - but look how different it is now!!

This time I've used all NEW SNEAK PEEKS from the new catalogue which starts on 1st July (woo hoo).

Try this when you make a card next - do the same card in two different colour ways - and watch the awesomeness!!  I've used new colours here too - they are:  Blackberry Bliss, Lost Lagoon, and Hello Honey - can you guess which is which?

Farewell colours - sad to see you go

and I chose to create using Raspberry Ripple, Primrose Petals, and Summer Starfruit.

As this card uses some retiring colours, I have also used a retiring stamp set Bring on the Cake along with Petite Petals and the coordinating punch from the Occasions Catalogue.

This card also uses a layout from Card Making Challenges - A Christy Production on facebook - I hope you like it, smile.

Mailbox Joy

Don'tcha love it when you get a gorgeous handmade card in the mail?  I sure do!!  These cards are some beauties I received in the last week from fellow Stampin' Up! demonstrators - and I'm feeling very blessed to receive such lovely cards!!

The card above is from Rebecca, and her blog is HERE

It's so lovely to receive a handmade card!!

Miss you Already

This is a card for someone who is leaving (sadly), and I had a lot of fun using a travelling motif, along with the map of the world too!!

Stamp sets:  The Open Sea, Just Sayin' (with coordinating framelits), Postage Due, Hardwood, Dictionary, and  Lovely Little Labels (which is sadly retiring at the end of the month).

Colours are:  Garden Green, Gumball Green (Tom loves greeen) and Baked Brown Sugar for the rustic elements.

I've also made a coordinating envelope using the wonderful Envelope Punch Board.  This card is 6" x 8 1/2"  so it's quite large - so everyone can write a message onto it!!

I've used the Postcard stamp for the inside to add some interest for all those lovely messages saying Goodbye and Good luck!

Monster High Birthday Card

My little niece is loving Monster High at the moment and into pink, black and white - so here's a copy of the card I made for her (her card also had a little monster high skull image too with a pink bow on the head).

I've used Amazing Birthday, and Just Sayin' for my stamping.

Good enough to drink!!

This is a card I made for a 60th birthday - to go with a lovely bottle to celebrate his birthday!  I've used a lot of stamps for the label - By the Tide, The Open Sea, Creatively Yours, and From My Heart.

I've edged the label with the Watercolour Wonder washi tape, as well as the neck of the bottle, and I've sponged all the edges of the bottle to give the card more depth - looks good enough to drink!!

Scrapbooking old and new

This month, a lot of my scrapping will be featuring some of our retiring products as I endeavour to use them in a last 'hurrah' before they go!!!

This is one of my favourite thinlits for the big shot - expressions - I love these words, and I love how they make a great title for a page.

You can see some of the grungy 'Epic Day' designer series paper here for my title tag - along with one of those gorgeous In colour dahlias for a bit of extra colour.

There are also a few new products on my page too - a little banner from the banners framelits, and

one of the on film framelits highlighting my photo!!

A very special engagement card

Recently I was commissioned to do an engagement card for some friends - and this is the result - I made the same card in two colour ways - Cherry Cobbler and Tempting Turquoise.  What do you think of the results?

I've predominantly used silver and white to give the card an elegant feel, with the colour highlights and a black background - with lots of extras like vellum, rhinestones, ribbon and glimmer paper.

Ultimately the red card was chosen to give to the lucky engaged couple, but really, they are both so beautiful!

And another sneaky peek!!!

I'm loving the clean and simple nature of this card - with it's crisp feel.  This is not usually my style but gee this was cool to do!!  I've used another of our FREEBIES from convention - this time Amazing Birthday which has some very groovy banners and greetings!!  The colours I have used are Bemuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Pear Pizzaz.  The piece of Bemuda Bay washi tape comes from the Project Life Everyday Adventure Accessory Kit (yet another FREEBIE from convention) - and it's made the card really fun and funky!!  (smile)

I Love Lace Sneak Peek

This beautiful pair of projects was made and given to me by Stampin' Up! - aren't they divine?  They are the invitation and gift tag for the Managers Reception at the recent Convention in Melbourne, and I love how gorgeous they are!!

One of the lovely things about them is the use of one of our new stamps from the Upcoming Catalogue - I Love Lace - which has been stamped and heat embossed with gold - isn't it sooooo lovely!!
